About Kimi Postma

Kimi grew up in a family of artists who painted professionally. She is a third generation artist. She graduated from the Graphic Design & Business Communications program at University of the Fraser Valley and took additional training at Vancouver Film School and Vancouver Community College.

Kimi has worked for seventeen years as a freelance artist within the Vancouver & Fraser Valley area. She has specialized in mural work of all styles and sizes & illustrating. Her work can be seen at BC Children's Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital, Greater Vancouver Zoo, Castle Fun Park, Go Banana's Children's Play Place, shopping centres, doctor's offices, dentist's offices, schools and professional buildings. She loves to create images that are inspiring and bring life to those who view them. Two of her greatest personal art achievements have been painting at an orphanage in Africa and painting for a girl for "Make A Wish Foundation".

Recently Kimi has taken up acrylic painting on canvases and will be expanding. She is part of a group of artists who have painted in public places and have displayed art in various settings. She will be selling original paintings as well as reproductions of pieces.
